Members Walk 2004
Brothers Ranch

The members gathered in the pole barn, where Mark Silberstein held forth on the history of Brothers Ranch and its place in the watershed.

Hikers underway on a misty morning.

Along the way were lovely lupines...

...fine fiddlenecks...

...and superb ceanothus.

Mark stops his group to praise the virtues of coyote brush.

The first two hikers reach the top of the outcrop. Ah, youth.

The view from the outcrop. Our members choose their own pace getting there.

Among the many wonders discovered on the knoll was this beetle.

After snacks we again assembled for Mark's remarks. The sun begins to show itself.

We head back to the pole barn, just visible at upper right.

A number of our members stopped to pick flowers from an abandoned flower field on the property

Happy hikers hauled their swag home.
