Water Quality Monitoring Scientist
Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Reseach Reserve
John started working with ESNERR in 1998 while pursuing his Masters degree at Moss Landing Marine Labs in chemical oceanography. John did his undergraduate work at the University of San Francisco where he double majored in psychology and environmental science. He now oversees the SWAMP, System Wide Monitoring Program, which monitors water, weather and nutrients in the Slough. When he is not monitoring the slough John likes to monitor the surf first hand at Moss Landing in the early mornings.
