Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve
Bree stewards the oak woodland and freshwater habitats on the Reserve as well as run the native plant nursery and greenhouse. "I started with habitat restoration on Fort Ord public lands in 1996 and never looked back. Through maritime chaparral of Fort Ord, urban creeks of Salinas, and tidal wetlands of San Francisco Bay, I fell in love with the interaction of people and plants." She also loves to dance, botanize, read, walk, draw, look at birds, eat chocolate, and roller skate.
