Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve
Amanda serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Reserve. She oversees a program of over 100 volunteers who do a wide variety of jobs such as Visitor Center assistance, tours, administrative support, research monitoring, native plant propagation, landscaping, weeding, and much more. Amanda also coordinates special events for the Reserve and provides interpretive support and training. Before joining the Reserve staff in September 2008, she worked for the National Park Service and California State Parks doing interpretation, education, and outreach. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time outdoors.
