In recognition of its conservation work in support of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, the Elkhorn Slough Foundation was named “Organization of the Year” by the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments at its March meeting. Accepting the award for ESF was board member Wil Smith.
