Mural of Elkhorn Slough Unveiled

A new mural created by the One Voice Arts & Leadership Program was unveiled at noon on Wednesday, August 20, at 11270 Merritt Street, Castroville (in the Castroville Center, near the junction of 156 and 183).

Teenagers from Castroville helped create the mural, which depicts the landscape and the animals of Elkhorn Slough. The mural displays a style similar to a Japanese woodblock design.

This is the 88th mural completed by the One Voice program, in cooperation with the Monterey County Workforce Investment Board, the Office for Employment Training, and the Castroville Redevelopment Agency and Chamber of Commerce.
