This picture of playful Red Foxes was taken June 16th on the beach at the end of Jetty Road.

Equipment used: Taken with Pentax K10 with 400mm Sigma lens

Terry is an amateur photographer who visits Elkhorn Slough 2 to 4 times a month and "never fails to find something exciting to photograph although this evening was incredible. These two were playing and running around the beach and jetty having a grand old time."

Although these foxes are cute, they are an introduced species and pose a threat to many native species of birds and mammals throughout the state.
